EXODUS
The ThuderCats, Jaga, Panthro, Tygra, Cheetara, Lion-O, Snarf, and Wiley Kit and
Wiley Kat, watch from a spaceship as their home planet, Thundera, blows up. The
set a course for a distant planet, but on the way they are attacked by the
Mutants from the planet Plun-darr. The damaged ship is now unable to make it to
that planet, so while the other ThunderCats sleep in Time-Suspension capsules,
Jaga pilots the ship manually to Third Earth. Jaga manages to get them there,
but he dies just before reaching the planet. Lion-O, the new lord of the
ThunderCats, goes from boyhood to manhood during the trip.
THE UNHOLY ALLIANCE
The mutants, who followed the ThunderCats to Third Earth, meet Mumm-Ra, and evil
being of immense evil. Mumm-Ra sinks the Mutants' space ship, in fear they might
use it to call the other mutants and then destroy his pyramid with it. The
Mutants, who are now stranded, team up with Mumm-Ra to try and get the Eye of
Thundera from the ThunderCats. The Mutants try first, but Lion-O holds them off.
Then Mumm-Ra tries, but while he is battling Lion-O, he sees his reflection in
Lion-O's claw shield, and Mumm-Ra is so horrified by the reflection, he has to
fly away and thus is defeated.
BERBILS
Mumm-Ra tries to destroy the other ThunderCats with a rock storm while Lion-O
and Snarf are out searching the woods. But the ThunderCats hide in the new
Thundertank that Panthro has built. Meanwhile, Lion-O and Snarf get captured by
the Ro-Bear Berbils, who turn out to be friendly. Lion-O helps defend the Berbil
village from an attack by the Trologs, who are trying to get the Berbils' food.
Then Lion-O defends the village again from Mumm-Ra, who had turned into a huge
insect. The Berbils, in return, decide to help the ThunderCats build their new
Lair. In this ep, Jaga also teaches Lion-O how to call the Sword of Omens to
come to his hand when needed.
THE SLAVES OF CASTLE PLUNN-DARR
Wiley Kit and Kat discover that the Mutants have enslaved a peaceful group of
creatures called Brute Men to build the Mutants' new home, Castle Plun-darr.
They tell the other ThunderCats at the new Cats Lair, and they go over to Castle
Plun-darr in the Thundertank to free the Brute Men. Slithe throws some warp gas
at the Brute Men, which causes them to become angry and menacing. But just as
they are about to get Lion-O, the warp gas wears off, and the Brute Men are
free.
TROUBLE WITH TIME
The ThunderCats go in search of Thundrillium, the fuel that runs the Thundertank
and Cats Lair. While out searching near the forest, Tygra finds a big amout of
Thundrillium in a cave. The cave though, speeds up time, and while Tygra is in
it, he begins to become very old. Luckily Cheetara saves him by running into the
cave, grabbing him, and then running out of the cave with her super speed. Since
Tygra is still very old, the ThunderCats ask Willa, a new friend they had made
earlier, what to do. She tells them to take Tygra to the mystical Fountain of
Youth, which they do. It magically restores his youth, just as he was about to
die.
PUMRA
During her morning run, Cheetara is kidnapped by the Mutants and sent to
Mumm-Ra's pyramid. Mumm-Ra then transforms himself into PumRa, the puma of
Thundera. Cheetara awakens to find PumRa and thinks he saved her from the
Mutants. She invites the stranger back to Cats Lair and he is given a trial run
to see if he can be trusted. Later that night, PumRa sabotages the Lairand the
Thundertank, and steals the Eye of Thundera. While most of the ThunderCats are
away, Lion-O and Snarf discover what PumRa has done and that he is an
imposter. PumRa tries to use the sword against Lion-O but the sword won't work
for him. The Mutants attack but Lion-O and the others defeat them. Then they
face PumRa in the lair, but only to find out it was Mumm-Ra all along.
THE TERROR OF HAMMERHAND
A group of pirates called the Berserkers, led by Hammerhand, come ashore and try
to capture a unicorn. Snarf saves the unicorn, but gets captured himself. Lion-O
meanwhile saves another unicorn trapped by a living tree. The unicorn gives him
a ring in return. Then Hammerhand shows up with Snarf, and Lion-O fights him,
but Hammerhand gets away with Snarf and a baby unicorn. Lion-O goes after them
and tries to swim out to the Berserkers' pirate ship. He almost drowns, but is
saved by the unicorn's ring. Lion-O calls on the other TCats, and Panthro and
Cheetara show up in the Thundertank, which becomes a Thundersub. They rescue
Lion-O, Snarf, and the unicorn and sink the pirate ship, and then return the
unicorn to its mother.
THE TOWER OF TRAPS
Wiley Kit and Wiley Kat help a Wollo who was being robbed. However, the robbers
get away with a gold bracelet, a wedding present for the Wollo's daughter. The
kittens go after the robbers and end up at the Tower of Traps which belongs to
Baron Carnor, the leader of the robbers. Lion-O comes when the Sword tells him
Kat has been captured. Lion-O and Kit go through the tower facing many
obstacles, and finally come to the top and rescue Kat. Lion-O tries to confront
the robber baron, but instead fights a bunch of living gargoyles the baron had
brought to life, because the baron died a long time ago. Lion-O calls the other
TCats, and they defeat the gargoyles.
THE GARDEN OF DELIGHTS
Tygra chases a huge worm down a hole because the worm is causing small
earthquakes on Third Earth. In the hole he meets Silky, which is really Mumm-Ra
in disguise. Silky gives Tygra a fruit that puts him under Mumm-Ra's spell. The
spell causes Tygra to steal the Sword of Omens and give it to Mumm-Ra. Since
Mumm-Ra cannot use the sword, he traps Willa, a warrior maiden, and tells her
she can use it to become queen of Third Earth. She goes along with him, and she
and Mumm-Ra capture the other TCats. But just as Mumm-Ra is about to kill
Lion-O, Willa throws Lion-O the Sword and he and the other TCats defeat Mumm-Ra
and the Mutants.
MANDORA: EVIL CHASER
Lion-O and Snarf are out exploring when they come across an apparently abandoned
large space capsule, and hear voices inside. When Lion-O opens the hatch, he
unknowningly releases three of the galaxy's worst criminals: Plutar, Burn Out,
and QuickPick. Mandora, the interplanetary policewoman, arrives too late. She
drafts Lion-O and Snarf to help her recover the criminals. LionO has to -
because QuickPick stole the Sword of Omens (and Snarf's money purse)! Lion-O
helps to defeat the Plutar and the mechanized robot, Burn Out. And while LionO
returns those criminals back to the space prison cell, Mandora goes out to find
QuickPick, using a tracker device. She finds the robot, and then she gets
captured by some Mud Hogs. Lion-O and Snarf arrive, and all of them become the
prisoners of the subterranean creatures. But when Lion-O gets his hands on the
Sword, he summons the other ThunderCats, who blast in with the Thundertank. The
bright lights force the Mud Hogs to flee, and peace is restored to Third Earth.
THE GHOST WARRIOR
Two locals accidently free the ghost of Grune the Destroyer, who had ravaged
Third Earth centuries ago. He learns of the ThunderCats' presence on Third Earth
and drains the lair of its Thundrillium and attacks the ThunderCats, who can't
fight back too much since he's a ghost. Thanks to Cheetara's sixth sense, the
ThunderCats learn of Grune's history, that he was once a ThunderCat and close
friend of Jaga, but greed and power overcame him. Grune returns to the lair and
Lion-O summons Jaga to fight Grune. Jaga and Grune battle it out, but Grune's
battle club is made from Thundrainium. Lion-O gives Jaga the Sword of Omens and
his strength to help him defeat Grune.
THE DOOGAZE
Mumm-Ra searches for a way to destroy the ThunderCats and the Anceint Spirits of
Evil tell him to free Tashi. Tashi is a sorceress who posseses a power known as
the DooGaze which gives her the power to put men in a transe. Mumm-Ra wants to
free Tashi so he can share this power with her. But he must collect the
following items: A Cheetah's hair, a berbil's tear and a unicorn's shoe. Mumm-Ra
gets the Mutants to retreive these items. But Lion-O, Cheetara and Snarf follow
the Mutants to Mumm-Ra and try to free Ro-Bear Belle(Who was captured to get the
tear). But Tashi tells Mumm-Ra that he must find a hero to take her place. Then
when Lion-O and Snarf appear Tashi puts them under the power of the Doom Gaze so
they could take her place. But Cheetara beats the Mutants and trys to fight
Mumm-Ra and Tashi and finds out she is immune to the Doom Gaze. She frees Lion-O
and he calls the other ThunderCats and they defeat Mumm-Ra and Tashi is banished
back to her dimension.
LORD OF THE SNOWS
After a large storm the ThunderCats thundrillium supply is weakened. But they
find out about a meteor of pure thundrillium on the ice land of Hook Mountain.
Lion-O and Snarf travel there to find the meteor. Jackalman finds out about this
and tells Slythe and Monkian. They summon the new Mutant Vultureman to take them
to Hook Mountain in his Flying Machine(Except Jackalman who was too scared to do
it). In the meantime Lion-O and Snarf find their way to the Snow Castle, home of
the Snowman of Hook Mountain. To get the meteor Lion-O must fight the Snowman
and his pet Snowmeow. Lion-O wins only to send Snowman in the bottomless casem.
Lion-O trys to save Snowman while Snarf and Snowmeow are attacked by the
Mutants. Lion-O and Snowman appear to save them and so do the rest of the
ThunderCats. Now Snowman, thinking Lion-O has proved himself, gives the
ThunderCats the meteor.
THE SPACESHIP BENEATH THE SANDS
The mutants trap Cheetara and Tygra but soon are defeated due to the fact that
they are fighting the ThunderCats with practically no weapons. They go to
Mumm-Ra and beg him to raise their spaceship from the sand where Mumm-Ra buried
it. The Mutants get their technological weapons back and attack the the
ThunderCats. During the battle, Panthro and Liono get trapped underwater when
the Thundertank gets caught between stones. While they try to free it, Slythe
attacks them with his new Nose Diver. Meanwhile, the other TCats are fighting
and eventually defeat the other Mutants. Liono and Panthro free the Tank by
tying it to the back of Slythe's vehicle. Slythe's diver breaks down and he
escapes and the ThunderCats are victorious.
THE TIME CAPSULE
Jaga tells a homesick Lion-O of a time capsule they brought with them from
Thundera, which contained the history of the planet...right up to its
destruction. The ThunderCats set out to find the capsule and encounter dangers
along the way. Lion-O and Snarf find the capsule in a cave guarded by a caveman.
Lion-O is challenged by the caveman to an arm wrestling match, and Lion-O
successfully wins. For winning, Lion-O gets the time capsule.
THE FIREBALLS OF CASTLE PLUN-DARR
The warrior maidens are threatened by a new threat from the Mutants. They have
built a huge fireball-launching machine at Castle Plundarr using more parts from
their spaceship. The ThunderCats of course go to stop them. The Mutants try and
use the fireballs against the TCats, but the TCats end up destroying the device
in the end.
ALL THAT GLITTERS
Tygra's whip shatters the Sword of Omens when he and Lion-O are put under a
spell by Mumm-Ra that causes them to start fighting. Lion-O knows that he must
use the heat of a star to fix the Sword, so he ventures into a volcano where a
star has recently fallen. The other TCats call on the Enflamer, a being made of
fire, to do it for Lion-O, but he turns on the TCats even after they help him
out. He takes the Sword for himself, but eventually Lion-O gets it back and
defeats him.
SPITTING IMAGE
Mumm-Ra summons the Driller to kidnap Panthro so that he can make Panthro
clones. The Panthro clone is then brought alive by the spirit of Hammerhand and
sent to plunder and destroy Third Earth, so that the ThunderCats are blamed.
Mumm-Ra then takes the real Panthro and disposes of him by dropping him in a
radiation pit. The Panthro clone attacks and demolishes the Wollo village. After
escaping the pit, the real Panthro shows up and fights the clone. Lion-O uses
the Sword to destroy the fake Panthro. Mumm-Ra tries to create another clone,
but Hammerhand, as the Panthro clone, destroys the device that was used to make
the clones.
LION-O'S ANOINTMENT TRIALS PART I (THE TRIAL OF STRENGTH)
On Lion-O's 20th birthday he must go through trials to prove himself Lord of the
ThunderCats. He must face the ThunderCats and the dangers of Third Earth without
the Sword of Omens or the Claw Sheild. On the first day he faces the Vortex, the
Great Void, and Crabmen. Then he must beat Panthro in a trial of strength.
Lion-O, while fighting Panthro, stops a huge boulder from rolling down a
mountain and crushing the Wollo village. Panthro gets injured trying to stop the
rock too, and he admits defeat.
LION-O'S ANOINTMENT TRIALS PART II (TRIAL OF SPEED)
On the 2nd day, Lion-O must race Cheetara. They both start from the same point,
but they are allowed to take any route to get to the finish line many miles
away. Cheetara takes the longer route, while Lion-O takes the shorter, more
dangerous route. The Mutants also discover Lion-O without his sword and plan on
attacking him. In the end, it comes down to about a 1 mile dash to the finish
between Lion-O and Cheetara. Cheetara gets way ahead, but Lion-O doesn't give
up, and we see that Cheetara's super speed only lasts for 2 minutes. When her
speed runs out, Lion-O Catches up and beats her.
LION-O'S ANOINTMENT TRIALS PART III (TRIAL OF CUNNING)
Lion-O faces the Thunderkittens on the 3rd day. He must get through the Maze of
Infinity where the Kittens have set traps for him. The Mutants attack, but
Lion-O manages to get away from them into the caverns. He faces many tricks by
Wiley Kit and Kat, but in the end the Kittens get caught in one of their own
traps and Lion-O rescues them with the help of some cave-dwelling creatures.
They all see the exit of the cave, but this time Lion-O plays the trick and ties
the kittens' ropes to their ankles and a rock. They all start sprinting towards
the exit, but the ropes hold the kittens back, and Lion-O wins.
LION-O'S ANOINTMENT TRIALS PART IV (TRIAL OF MIND POWER)
Lion-O faces Tygra on the 4th day of the trials. The Mutants get in the way
throughout the day, but the other TCats, and Snowman and Snowmeow hold them off
for the most part. Tygra first uses his invisibility to try and trick Lion-O.
Then, we learn that Tygra had the power to control minds and make things seem
there that really aren't. Tygra makes Lion-O think he is back on Thundera
watching the planet explode, because that is the only thing Lion-O is afraid of.
But Lion-O overcomes the image and wrestles Tygra to the ground and thus wins
the trial.
LION-O'S ANOINTMENT TRIALS PART V (TRIAL OF EVIL)
On the 5th day Lion-O must face his greatest enemy, Mumm-Ra. Mumm-Ra knows this
and tells the Mutants to destroy him. They attack Lion-O thinking they've
destroyed him. But Lion-O lands in a underground tunnel. He finds a path into
Mumm-Ra's Pyramid but he must face many of Mumm-Ra's demons and monsters to get
to Mumm-Ra. He beats them all and faces Mumm-Ra. Lion-O defeats him by
destroying Mumm-Ra's casket. Mumm-Ra is destroyed and Lion-O is anointed the
true Lord of the ThunderCats. But Mumm-Ra is brought back to life by the
spirits.
MONGOR
The Thunderkittens accidentily free the master of fear Mongor. Mumm-Ra uses
Mongor to destroy Third Earth. When Wilykit and Kat tell the adult ThunderCats,
they get angry and the Thunderkittens run away. The ThunderCats try to find them
only to be ambushed 1 by 1 by Mongor. But the Thunderkittens discover that the
way to defeat Mongor is to not look at him so his power of fear will weaken.
Then when Mongor attacks Lion-O and Snarf the Thunderkittens appear and tell
Lion-O how to beat Mongor. Lion-O doesn't look at Mongor and eventually Mongor
is beaten.
THE ASTRAL PRISON
Jaga is captured by Nemex, an evil being in the Astral world, and Lion-O tries
to find a way to rescue him. Third-earth legend says that the only person who
can transport anyone to the Astral world is the evil Nether-Witch. Little do the
ThunderCats know that Mumm-Ra and the Nether-Witch are one and the same. Mumm-Ra
traps Lion-O in the Astral world, and Lion-O sets out to save Jaga. While
escapeing the Astral prison, Lion-O and Jaga save an old sorcerer named Brodo
whose been imprisoned in the Astral Prison for centuries. As a thank you
gesture, Brodo sends Lion-O back to his own dimension.
RETURN TO THUNDERA
Lion-O accidently gets caught in the beam of the time capsule the ThunderCats
recently recovered ("The Time Capsule") and sent back to Thundera right before
its destruction. Lion-O meets up with his father Claudus after scaring off a
Mutant attack. Claudus then gives Lion-O plans for a Plundarian warbot.
Meanwhile, back on Third Earth, the Mutants create a warbot to attack Cats Lair
and the other ThunderCats. The ThunderCats fail to stop the warbot until Lion-O
returns and defeats the warbot by using the plans that Claudus had given to him.
SNARF TAKES UP THE CHALLENGE
When all the ThunderCats except Snarf get captured, it's up to him to save them
all. He uses his ability of being able to talk to the other animals to help him
rescue the ThunderCats. Since the mutants and Mumm-Ra don't expect Snarf to come
to the rescue, they don't guard the ThunderCats, and Snarf eventually frees
them.
MANDORA AND THE PIRATES
Mandora:Evil Chaser find a old spaceship and goes to investagate. She enters
only to be attacked by a renagade robot named Capt. Cracker. He locks up Mandora
and lands his ship on the Grey Prison Planet. He frees all the criminals like
Rhino, See-Through and the rehibilitated Quick Pick. Mandora sends her space
bike to Cat's Lair so Lion-O could help out. Lion-O arrives and him and Quick
Pick try to free Mandora and stop Cracker. They save Mandora only for Lion-O to
be captured. Cracker tries to go to Third Earth and conquer Cat's Lair. But
Mandora and Quick Pick follow Cracker and save Lion-O. Mandora tells Cat's Lair
about Cracker and they prepare for him. When Cracker's ship lands he is captured
by the ThunderCats. They give him to Mandora and peace is restored.
THE CRYSTAL QUEEN
The ThunderCats think Snarf is getting too old. But anyway, Lion-O and Panthro
discover that Queen Tatara is trying to steal the Arrietta bird, the creature
that helps the berbil crops grow. She manages to get it and takes it to her
castle. Lion-O and Panthro follow her with Snarf hidding in the Thunder-Tank.
Lion-O goes ahead and gets into Tatara's tresure chamber. She is angered and
freezes Lion-O. Snarf comes to the rescue and uses the Arrietta Bird's songs to
free Lion-O. Then he calls Panthro and they escape with the bird and give it
back to the berbils.
SAFARI JOE
An interplanetary hunter, Safari Joe and his robot aid come to Third Earth in
search of the most dangerous game of all: ThunderCats. By exploiting their
weaknesses, Safari Joe manages to capture all of them individually. But Lion-O
and Snarf, with a warning from Jaga, manage to defeat Safari Joe in the end.
During the conflict, Safari Joe reveals that he is really a coward at heart.
RETURN OF THE DRILLER
Mumm-Ra summons the Driller to drill a tunnel from Acid Lake to Cat's Lair so
that it would be destroyed. The ThunderCats find out about this and go to find
the sponge fog to vaporize the acid. But before that they do this, they
encounter many dangers. They survive and manage to block the acid.
TURMAGAR THE TUSKA
Turmagar, leader of the Tuskas from the land of Tuskania, asks the ThunderCats
to help him defend his city from the giant Techno-Pede. If the Techno-Pede
destroys the city, the source of the rivers of Third Earth will be destroyed,
thus leaving Third Earth as a huge desert. The TCats agree to help, and all of
them go to fight the Techno-Pede except Panthro, who stays behind to fix
Turmagar's flying animal/machine, the Gomplin. The TCats, in the Thundertank,
cross through rivers and oceans filled with danger, but they eventually make it
to Tuskania. They take on the Techno-Pede, but can't finish it off. Then Panthro
and the Thunderkittens arrive on the Gomplin, and they all work together to
defeat the huge monster.
SIXTH SENSE
A miniture spaceship approches Third Earth. To survive it uses Cheetara's sixth
sence. This hurts Cheetara and the ThunderCats don't know why. The Mutants find
out about this and nearly destroy the ship, causing more pain to Cheetara.
Vultureman saves the control generater and trys to find out how it works. The
ThunderCats know this and Lion-O and the Thunderkittens goes to Castle Plundarr.
Panthro and Tygra recover and repair the rest of the ship and they go with
Cheetara to help Lion-O and the kittens. Then when Lion-O is surrounded by the
Mutants Cheetara uses the ship to defeat the Mutants. The control generater is
recovered and Cheetara is saved.
DR. DOMETONE
When Wilykit is swallowed by a giant frog robot, Wilykat tells Lion-O to destroy
it. But they find out that the pilot of the robot is the peacful Dr. Dometone
who is looking for help. Long ago, a crack was made in the bottom of the ocean
which caused the water to drain into the earth's core. Dr. Dometone created a
plug which sealed the hole in the ocean, and saved third earth from destruction.
But the evil salvage man Scrape wants to destroy the plug to mine the rock that
is found on the bottom of the ocean for his home planet Blue-Plundarr. He rides
in an robot electric eel. Lion-O and Wilykat go to help Dr. Dometone and stop
the eel in Dometome's frog robot, Hercules. Hercules wins and the ThunderCats
repair the plug.
THE THUNDER-CUTTER
Mumm-Ra summons the great samurai Hachi-Man to seek and destroy Lion-O. He tells
Hachi-Man that Lion-O and the ThunderCats are destroying his planet. Hachi-Man
and Lion-O confront each other, but their swords refuse to draw on each other.
They become allies and hope to destroy Mumm-Ra together. Enraged, Mumm-Ra
summons another warrior, a ninja, to sabotage the ThunderCats, and retrieve
Slithe whom they have captured.
THE WOLFRAT
A Mechanical Rodent Penetrates the Cats' Lair, releasing a gas that reduces them
to 9 inches. Tygra manages to create an antidote for the gas, just in time to
fight the mutants who were attacking. Snarf gets another dose of the antidote,
and doubles in size. He chases all the mutants out of the lair, but ends up
hitting his head on a lot of doorways.
FELINER PART 1
Vulture-man summons Ratar-O to take him to the planet of the Snarfs to capture
one of them and use it as ransom with the ThunderCats. Snarf (Osbert J),
thinking his entire race was wiped out when Thundera blew up finds out that they
have captured Snarfer, his little nephew. The ThunderCats set out to find the
mutants and save Snarfer.
FELINER PART 2
After successfully saving Snarfer, the ThunderCats are faced with the problem of
returning Snarfer to his planet. Panthro cleverly invents the Feliner, the first
ThunderCat air-ship. In order for it to work though, the machine need a
hyper-space mega-condenser. Snarf reminds him that there is one on Ratar-O's
Ratstar. The ThunderCats once again persue the mutants to the wreckage site of
the Ratstar to "take" their mega-condenser.
DIMENSION DOOM
Wiz-Ra, MuRa's enemy from long ago comes back every 7000 years through a
portal that just happens to be in Cheetara's bedroom. Wiz-Ra wears on his head a
magical helmet that lets him control minds. When the time arrives and Wiz-Ra
comes through the portal, Mumm-Ra steals the helmet. Cheetarah helps Wiz-Ra get
the helmet back and free the ThunderCats from its spell.
QUEEN OF 8 LEGS
Mumm-Ra finds out that the Kingdom of Webs has a new Queen, Spidera. Mumm-Ra
thinks he can lure Lion-O in to Spidera. He transeforms into a diamond fairy and
casts a spell on Lion-O. Snarf follows them and gets traped in the Kingdom of
Webs. Lion-O trys to save him but ends up having to call the other ThunderCats.
Eventually they confront and beat Spidera.
SWORD IN A HOLE
Mumm-Ra hires Captain Schiner no send a fake distress signal to the ThunderCats.
With their new vehicle, the Feliner, the ThunderCats set out into deep space to
help the "ship in distress". When they arrive, Schiner captures Lion-O, and the
sword of omens. He gives the sword to Mumm-Ra, and Mumm-Ra throws the sword into
a black hole. Cheetara returns to third earth to get Panthro, in an attempt to
save Lion-O. They do rescue Lion-O, and seize Schiner's ship. Panthro sets a
course into the black hole to recover the sword. They enter, and must battle the
robotic city of lost space ships to recover the sword of omens, and escape.
THE EVIL HARP OF CHARR-NIN
Wily Kit and Kat find an ancient Harp that has a genie in it. His name is
Char-Nin. Mumm-Ra appears to the genie and tells him that if he destroys the
ThunderCats, he will be freed from his eternal prison in the lamp. Foolishly,
Char-Nin agrees, and begins trapping the ThunderCats in his lamp one by one.
Mumm-Ra's plan works, and he betrays Char-Nin. During their arguing, the
ThunderCats manage to escape, leaving Mumm-Ra and Char-Nin battling beneath the
earth.
THE DEMOLISHER
A vagabond space traveler lands on Third Earth to challenge Mumm-Ra to a fight.
The Demolisher is victorious against Mumm-Ra and sends him running back to his
Tomb. Mumm-Ra acknowledges the power of the Demolisher, and convinces him to
seek and destroy Lion-O. The Demolisher, searching for another fight gladly
accepts Mumm-Ra advice. He battles with Lion-O only to face defeat.
MONKIAN'S BARGAIN
Monkian goes to Mumm-Ra and agrees to give him anything if Mumm-Ra will make him
powerful enough to rule Third Earth. Mumm-Ra agrees cleverly, and gives him
Power Spheres which make him super strong and give him super weapons. He freezes
all the ThunderCats, then defeats Lion-O and takes the sword of Omens back to
Mumm-Ra. Mumm-Ra takes it, and then says that Monkian's part of the bargain will
be that he can keep the spheres, but he has to stay in Mumm-Ra's pyramid for all
eternity. Walls surround Monkian, and every time he breaks them down, a new set
of walls shows up. While Monkian and Mumm-Ra are arguing, Lion-O retrievs the
sword and frees the other ThunderCats. Monkian gives up his power to be free
again.
TIGHT SQUEEZE
After the Mutants fail to ambush and defeat the ThunderCats with Vultureman's
new thundrainium cannon, Vultureman, furious about the failed attempt and the
loss of his weapon, activates a self-destruct built into each of his inventions
or repaired machinery, and all the Mutant technology disintegrates. To even the
odds, Slithe asks Mumm-Ra to send an electrical energy creature to destroy all
the equipment in Cats Lair, which also seals up the door to the Sword Chamber,
trapping the Sword of Omens inside along with all the ThunderCats' weapons. The
Mutants attack, and manage to capture Cheetara and Panthro. Snarf must climb
into the ventilation shafts to reach the Sword Chamber from within, but
Jackalman follows him trying to capture him. Outside, Lion-O is attacked by
Slithe and Monkian, and later Mumm-Ra. After Snarf successfully gets the Sword
back to Lion-O, Lion-O summons Panthro and Cheetara (freeing them) and they
defeat Mumm-Ra and the Mutants.
THE MICRITS
Micrits, a tiny race of human like figures happen to live right outside Cats
Lair. Unaware of their existance, Lion-O manages to continuously step on their
village (keep in mind they are the size of toy figures) and destroy their homes.
Upset at this disrespect, the Micrits decide to take a stand and manage to trap
Lion-O. With the ThunderCat Lord in trouble, the mutants attack Cats Lair. After
much talk, Lion-O manages to convince the Micrits that he is a "good guy" and
convinces them to let him go to help save his friends. Once again, Lion-O saves
the day, and befriends the Micrits
THE ROCK GIANT
Mumm-Ra awakens the Rock Giant, an ancient monster made of stone which looked
like a mountain to the TCats. When it wakes up, Mumm-Ra sends it to destroy Cats
Lair. The TCats try and defeat it using the Thundertank, and eventually with the
help of the Sword, the giant is beaten.
JACKALMAN'S REBELLION
The normally submissive JackalMan decides to start his own army in hopes of
conquering Third Earth by himself. He does manage to give the ThunderCats
trouble, but soon he is defeated and ends up crawling back to the other mutants
at Castle Plundarr, who weren't very happy that he rebelled in the first place.
THE Mumm-Ra BERBIL
Mumm-Ra transforms himself into a ro-bear berbil (a ThunderCat ally). He acts
hurt and the ThunderCats let him stay at Cats Lair. One night, Mumm-Ra(the
berbil) puts all the ThunderCats under his spell, except Snarf, because Tygra
held off Mumm-Ra just long enough for Snarf to escape. Lion-O was sleeping out
in the woods, and Snarf ran to him and told him what happened. Lion-O came back
and fought Mumm-Ra, who was actually beating Lion-O. Mumm-Ra was wearing special
glasses so he couldn't see his reflection. Eventually, Lion-O used the
ThunderCat signal, broke Mumm-Ra's spell and his glasses, and finally defeated
him with his reflection.
MECHANICAL PLAGUE
Panthro invents flying video cameras which are suppose to record the events
that take place on third-earth so they could create their own holographic
time capsule. Mumm-Ra, in hope of destroying the ThunderCats once more,
revives the great mechanical monsters which the ThunderCats have destroyed
in the past to attack them. He revives the Mutant War robot, The Driller,
The Giant Insect, and the Techno-Pede.
TRAPPED
When a big storm hits Third Earth, the Thunderkittens are trapped in an old
space capsule. Meanwhile, Tygra and Cheetra almost crash the Feliner, but Lion-O
guides them in for a safe landing with the eye of Thundera. The kittens are
captured by Mumm-Ra, but end up saving the day by showing him his reflection in
the window of the capsule.
EXCALIBUR
The Ancient spirits of evil show Mumm-Ra the story of King Arthur, and explain
to him that the strongest sword that ever existed was Excalibur, Arthur's
weapon. Mumm-Ra disguises himself as Arthur, and returns to lake where the sword
is guarded by the lady of the lake. Fooled by his disguise, the lady gives
Mumm-Ra Excalibur. The disguised Mumm-Ra challenges Lion-O to a dual, and Lion-O
foolishly accepts the challenge. The sword clash, and Excalibur is victorious.
The eye of Thundera is split in two, and the ThunderCats become powerless.
Merlin, Arthur's teacher and a famous magician stops Mumm-Ra from destroying the
ThunderCats, and restores the eye to its original state.
SECRET OF THE ICE KING
An old iceburg on Hook Mountain begins to melt, and encased in it is an ancient
being known as the Ice King. He begins to destory Snow-Man's caslte at the top
of Hook Mountain, and frezzes Snow man in solid ice. Snow-Meow, his faithful
compainion seeks out Lion-O to do away with the being and save his master.
Lion-O fails, and is also frozen. Once again Snow-Meow sets out to find the
other ThunderCats. They arrive only to face defeat, and Cheetarah is the only
one to survive. She uses the sword to restore Lion-O to normal, and he in turn
restores everyone else. They discover that the Ice King is looking for an
ancient egg to see his wife, the Queen one last time before he dies. They
understand his madness and assist him in finding the egg
GOOD AND UGLY
Lion-O encounters two beings who each tell him the other's race is evil and
cannot be trusted. Unfortunately, he makes the mistake of assuming that the more
attractive of the two is the one he should side with.
THE TRANSFER
A spaceship approaches third Earth and it sets off all the alarms of the
ThunderCats, Mutants and even Mumm-Ra. It contains enough radioactive material
to put an end to the ThunderCats. Jackelman takes the recovered materials first
and Mumm-Ra takes it from him. The ThunderCats battle Mumm-Ra on top of the Dark
Pyramid for the sphere and eventually win, setting the materials to explode
safely in space.
DIVIDE AND CONQUER
Vultureman invents a voice imitator which can imitate ANYONES voice. The mutants
use the invention to trick the ThunderCats into falling for false distress
calls. They go on the communiCation frequency that the ThunderCats use and
pretend to be ThunderCats in danger. Each ThunderCat is lured into a different
danger zone of third earth. Wily Kit and Kat get trapped in the Vortex, Cheetara
in a giant bee hive, Tygra in Mole-masters hole, and Panthro gets captured by
the mutants. Liono and Snarf go off to save them once again, and put the mutant
scheme to an end.
DREAM MASTER
Mumm-Ra transforms himself into the Dream Master, and gains the power to control
the ThunderCats' dream selves. All except Lion-O. They all become slaves to
Mumm-Ra the Dream Master in their sleep, but when they wake up, they are just
tired. However, when the ThunderCats sleep again, Mumm-Ra captures their dream
selves in little bottles, and when Lion-O tries to wake them up, he can't. He
goes and fights Mumm-Ra, and frees the other ThunderCats' dream selves. They
wake up, come running, and help to defeat Mumm-Ra again.
OUT OF SIGHT
Willa is captured by the Mutants, and Tygra and Nayda, Willa's sister, must go
to Castle Plun-darr to save her. Tygra uses the invisibilty power of his whip on
both of them, so they could sneak into the castle and rescue Willa, but having 2
people at a time takes too much power from the whip, so they are stuck being
invisible. Lion-o uses the Sword to make them visible once again and Willa is
rescued.
THE MOUNTAIN
Lion-O takes up mountain climbing, but during one of his climbs, The Mutants
attack him with a thundrainium gun, Liono calls the other ThunderCats, but an
avalanche traps Panthro, Tygra, Slithe and Monkian, in a cave causing a limited
air supply. Meanwhile Jackleman steals the sword, but Lion-O manages to get it
back and saves everyone.
THE SUPERPOWER POTION
Vulture-man invents a potion that turns him into the most powerful being on
third earth. He becomes so powerful that he even challenges Mumm-Ra's power and
wins. He becomes so powerful that if the ThunderCats don't stop him, he WILL be
the supreme ruler of third earth. Luckily, the mutants fight over the super
power potion, and end up destroying the vile
EYE OF THE BEHOLDER
Panthro makes a fake sword of omens, and they plan to play a joke on the
Mutants! But the joke backfires when the Mutants capture Snarf too! Lion-O must
rescue Snarf and defeat the Mutants and Mumm-Ra once again.
THE TROUBLE WITH THUNDERKITTENS
The Thunderkittens steal the ThunderCats' weapons so they can prove they can use
them, but the Mutants steal the weapons! Lion-O and the kittens must get the
weapons back from the Mutants.
MUMM-RANA
The mutants fail to destroy the ThunderCats in an areal assault and find
themselves stranded on a far part of third earth inhabited by the good
Mumm-Rana. She is suppose to be the exact opposite of Mumm-Ra, serving the
ancient spirits of goodness as opposed to the ancient spirits of evil. Somehow
Mumm-Ra shows up on the scene and puts her under a spell where she must serve
him. These two now evil Mummies plot to destroy the ThunderCats and rule third
earth side by side as King and Queen.. Surprise surprise good always pevails,
and the ThunderCats manage to turn Mumm-Rana back to her good self, and banish
Mumm-Ra once again.
THE SHIFTER
Vulture Man creates a device that shifts minds and bodies. He gives Panthro
Snarf's body, and gives Snarf Panthro's Body. He also shifts Lion-O and
Wiley-Kat, and thus makes the sword of omens unusable. Eventually, Vulture Man
shoots the sword, and it causes a reaction that restores all the ThunderCats to
their rightful bodies.
FOND MEMORIES
Mumm-Ra pretending to be one of the ThunderCats friends takes Lion-O to a
gallery of the ThunderCats accomplishments. However, the pictures can come to
life and Lion-O must battle Rataro, Safari Joe, and others. ONce the other
ThunderCats arrive they end up in trouble and Lion-O is confronted by Mumm-Ra
who has made himself into a carbon copy of Lion-O. It's Lion-O VS Lion-O and is
a draw, until Lion-O shows Mumm-Ra his reflection.
THUNDERCATS HO!: PART I
Lion-O wakes up from an awful nightmare he has been having about leaving
Thundera. He remembers leaving some of his fellow Thunderians on Thundera
because the ship could not stay any longer. Jaga appears to him and explains
that they did not perish, and that they are on third earth. Anxious to find
them, Lion-O asks Cheetara to use her psychic powers to find their loCation.
Mumm-Ra, overhearing this news, sends the Berserkers to capture the Thunderians,
and bring them to him. Lion-O is almost boiled alive by the Berserkers.
THUNDERCATS HO!: PART II
Mumm-Ra has the Thunderians sent to Fire Rock mountain (otherwise known to the
thunderCats as thundrainium) Thundranium makes the Thunderians, as well as the
ThunderCats, weaker than kittens. Lion-O is rescued by Panthro in the new
Hover-Cat, and meanwhile Snarf gets captured by Rataro in his spaceship, the Rat
Star. When Lion-O tries to rescue Snarf, he falls off the Rat Star and onto
snow-covered Hook Mountain. Here he meets up with the Fist Pounder, a new mutant
tank driven by Monkian.
THUNDERCATS HO!: PART III
The Thunderians are delivered to Fire Rock Mountain and put in cells. Meanwhile,
Panthro takes on the Fist Pounder in the Thundertank, but Rataro interferes and
blows the Thundertank up. (or so it seems) Lion-O heads to Mumm-Ra's Pyramid to
try and learn what happened to the Thunderians, but while there, he ends up
getting mummified by some ancient mummies.
THUNDERCATS HO!: PART IV
Lion-O escapes Mumm-Ra's pyramid and heads for Fire Rock Mountain where the
Thunderians are being held. Cheetara and Tygra save Panthro, who was pinned
underneath the Thundertank when Rataro shot it. Snarf escapes from Rataro and
ends up in Tuska country. By the end, all the ThunderCats are headed for the
mountain. Lion-O gets there first, only to be confronted by Hachi Man, who
thinks Lion-O is evil again. Lion-O slips and it looks like he's about to fall
into the Thundrainium pits, and that's how it ends.
THUNDERCATS HO!: PART V
Hachi Man saves Lion-O. Lion-O, unable to get past the thunrainium to save the
Thunderians, uses the power of the star of thundera to cancel the effects of the
thundrainium. Mumm-Ra sends Grune the Destroyer to stop Jaga from getting the
power of the star for Lion-O, but Grune fails. After giving the star's power to
Lion-O, Mumm-Ra manages to steal it from him. Mumm-Ra, trying to possess the
star's powers, instead gets destroyed by the star's power. Lion-O saves the
thunderians, and anoints them as ThunderCats. Bengali, the white tiger, Pumyra,
the female puma, and Lynxo the blind lynx.
MUMM-RA LIVES!: PART I
Thinking that Mumm-Ra has perished, the ThunderCats prepare for peace, but
Mumm-Ra has survived. Ma-Mutt brings the weak Mumm-Ra back to his pyramid and
Mumm-Ra changes Ma-Mutt into an image of himself and tells him to order the
Mutants to free the Lunataks, creatures from the moons of Plun-Darr, who are
imprisoned in molten lava in Darkside. Snarf overhears this and warns the
ThunderCats. The ThunderCats must figure out how to get into Darkside without
having to cross the Fire Rock Pits, which contains Thundrainium.
MUMM-RA LIVES!: PART II
The Mutants free the Lunataks and Mumm-Ra (Ma-Mutt in disguise) tells them that
they must put aside their differences and help him destroy the ThunderCats. The
Lunataks agree...for now. The Lunataks and the Mutants capture and force the
Brute-men, the Wollos, and the Bulkans to help build Sky Tomb, the Lunataks'
fortress. After arriving in Darkside by going through the Forest of Mists, the
ThunderCats realize that the Lunataks are powerful enemies after discovering Sky
Tomb is mobile.
MUMM-RA LIVES!: PART III
In order to defend Third Earth from Sky Tomb, the ThunderCats and the Berbils
build the Tower of Omens. But Mumm-Ra finds out about this and sends the
Lunataks to destroy it. While the Lunataks and most of the ThunderCats battle it
out, Lynx-O and Snarf use the tower's signal beam to drive off Sky Tomb and the
Lunataks.
MUMM-RA LIVES!: PART IV
Thanks to the Ancient Spirits of Evil, Mumm-Ra is finally restored to full
power. Meanwhile, Snarfer, Snarf's nephew, arrives on Third Earth, but his ship
goes off course and lands in Darkside. The Lunataks also learn of this and they
manage to capture Snarfer. The ThunderCats must go to Dark Side to rescue
Snarfer.
MUMM-RA LIVES!: PART V
Mumm-Ra leaves the pyramid to take charge at Sky Tomb and Ma-Mutt is left behind
to guard the pyramid. Cheetara and Lynx-O journey to the pyramid to find out if
Mumm-Ra IS still alive. But they are attacked by Ma-Mutt and the Ancient Spirits
of Evil statues. Lynx-O manages to drive them off by using a magical talisman he
found earlier. Meanwhile, Lion-O, Panthro, Tygra, and Pumyra go to Darkside to
try to free the Lunataks' slaves, but they are captured by the Lunataks instead.
Cheetara and Lynx-O come to their aid and the ThunderCats must face Mumm-Ra. To
the ThunderCats' surprise, Mumm-Ra no longer fears his own reflection. Lynx-O
then uses the talisman to defeat Mumm-Ra. The Lunataks want the talisman for
themselves, so they (except Luna and Amuk) start fighting amongst themselves,
allowing the ThunderCats to safely leave.
CATFIGHT
Mumm-Ra plays deception with the ThunderCats when he (disguised as Jaga) tells
Lion-O that the ThunderCats at the Tower of Omens will rebel and take Third
Earth for themselves. Then he disguises himself as a Tuska warrior and asks the
ThunderCats at the tower for help. Ben-Gali, Pumyra, and Snarfer go to
investigate while Lynx-O calls on the others to help, but Lion-O warns the
others of their possible treachery, but Panthro, Cheetara, and Snarf go anyway
but somewhat cautious. When they meet, the Tuska warrior "accidently" causes the
newer ThunderCats to attack. He then dissappears and the ThunderCats start
fighting each other. Meanwhile the Lunataks invade Cats Lair and the Tower of
Omens. Lion-O must call on the ThunderCats hoping they'll stop fighting each
other to defeat the Lunataks and Mumm-Ra, which they do.
PSYCH OUT
Mumm-Ra tells Aluro that the Egora Talisman will give whoever possesses it the
power of extreme self-confidence. Aluro finds the talisman and uses it, along
with his own powers of hypnotism, to "take away" the ThunderCats'
self-confidence, leaving them hopeless and confused. Only Snarf remains and it
is up to him to defeat Aluro and restore the ThunderCats.
THE MASK OF THE GORGON
Mumm-Ra plans on using the legendary Mask of Gargon to free a sleeping child in
the hills of Elfshima to use against the ThunderCats. When Chilla and Tug Mug
fail to get the mask because it turned them to stone, Mumm-Ra summons it and
decides he needs the Eye of Thundera so that the mask can use sight beyond sight
to awaken the giant child. Lynx-O warns the ThunderCats of the mask and the
sleeping child, but Lion-O, Panthro, and Willa still go to the pyramid, but are
turned to stone by the mask. Mumm-Ra then uses the Eye of Thundera and the mask
to awaken the giant. But Lynx-O and Ben-Gali in the Thunderstrike defeat the
giant and the mask gets smashed apart restoring everyone who had been turned to
stone, and the Eye of Thundera burns the book that contained the mask's terrible
secrets.
THE MAD BUBBLER
The Lunataks discover an unmined Thundrillium mine on Hook Mt, so Luna, Amak,
and Chilla go to the mine. Snowman tries to stop them, but the three Lunataks
enter the mine anyway and encounter the Mad Bubbler who encases them in his
bubbles which cause them to fight each other. Panthro, Cheetara, and Tygra
arrive on Hook Mt. to stop the Lunataks from mining the Thundrillium, but they
too are trapped in the Mad Bubbler's bubbles and they turn evil and fight each
other. Since a snarf is the only being that is "immune" to evil, Lion-O summons
Snarf and Snarfer to save them.
TOGETHER WE STAND
Mumm-Ra summons the Berserkers and coats their armor with Thundrainium and sends
them to attack the ThunderCats at the Tower of Omens. Realizing that their armor
is coated with Thundrainium, the ThunderCats at the tower need help and Lion-O
and Tygra rescue them. They create a windstorm to rub off the Thundrainium and
the Berserkers retreat. Meanwhile the Lunataks invade Cats' Lair and the
ThunderCats must rush back to save the Thunderkittens and Snarf who are being
held as the Lunataks' slaves.
RAVAGE ISLAND
Mumm-Ra uses the Beacon of Ravage Island to make the ThunderCats his slaves.
When the beacon puts Lion-O, Panthro, Cheetara, and Pumyra under its power, they
are easily captured by the Mutants, and Snarf must get the others at the tower
for help, but Ben-Gali soon falls under the beacon's power and it's up to
Lynx-O, Snarf and Snarfer, to save the "enslaved" ThunderCats.
TIME SWITCH
While burying one of the time capsules that transported the ThunderCats to Third
Earth, it smashes apart and Lion-O gets caught in its gases, making him younger
and younger by the minute. The other ThunderCats must find a way to reverse the
process and realize the Cave of Time is the only way, but they must get Lion-O
there before he "vanishes" from existence. Things get worse when the young
Lion-O and Snarf are captured by the Lunataks.
SOUND STONES
Vultureman develops a sonic gun to destroy the ThunderCats. Since the other
Mutants refuse to help, Vultureman decides to go on his own until the Lunataks
"kidnap" him and force him to help them. Vultureman uses a legendary sound stone
to power the device and he and the Lunataks use it against the ThunderCats at
the Tower of Omens. The ThunderCats barely escape and are saved by Lion-O, but
they lose the tower to the Lunataks. The ThunderCats must design a sound weapon
of their own with a sound stone to counter Vultureman's weapon and retake the
Tower of Omens.
DAY OF THE ECLIPSE
Third Earth is experiencing a total lunar eclipse and Mumm-Ra uses this eclipse
to cast a spell that will cause Cats Lair and everything in it to malfunction.
The ThunderCats first notice this when things start falling apart and fail.
Lion-O and Panthro must fight the Mutants while having problems running the
Thundertank. They still manage to defeat the Mutants, but crash the Thundertank.
Lion-O realizes that this must be Mumm-Ra's evil work and goes to the pyramid to
stop Mumm-Ra. Meanwhile Cats Lair is getting worse as Cheetara and Tygra rush to
fix things in the lair but are attacked by the Lunataks. They defeat the
Lunataks temporarily, but the Lunataks return to finish off the Lair. In order
to break the spell, Lion-O must use the Sword to block out the sun.
SIDE SWIPE
Snarfer is making a trip back to Third Earth bringing food for the ThunderCats,
but he gets sideswiped by Chilla. Mandora, evil chaser sees this and pulls
Chilla over. Chilla, however, ices Mandora and makes a run for it. Mandora
insists on the ThunderCats' help to capture Chilla. But when she and Lynx-O go
to Darkside to capture Chilla, they fall into one of the Lunataks' traps. It
seems that the Lunataks wanted the Braille board so that the ThunderCats could
not get to them. But when the board dissappears, they try to get the information
from Lynx-O as to where it went, but Mandora escapes and frees Lynx-O. She is
tricked however and she and Lynx-O are shot up into space in a pod. Lion-O
brings them down by using the Sword, and they return to Darkside and Mandora
succeeds in capturing Chilla.
MUMM-RANA'S BELT
After overhearing Snarf telling the Thunderkittens and Pumyra a story about
Mumm-Rana's magic belt and Queen Luna (Luna's grandmother), Luna and Amak
journey to the white pyramid and take Mumm-Rana's belt, destroying her pyramid
in the process. Pumyra tries to stop her but she gets sealed up in the pyramid.
Amak becomes jealous when Luna no longer needs him and during his "little
temper", he accidently frees Pumyra. Then Luna forces Slithe and Monkian to help
her ambush Lion-O and Panthro. During the battle with "Princess" Luna, Lion-O
uses the sword to restore Mumm-Rana and she retakes the belt and defeats Luna.
Amak later arrives and destroys the belt.
HACHIMAN'S HONOUR
Hatchiman rescues an old woman not knowing it's Luna. She "invites" him to her
"cave" and there she and Chilla and Aluro attack him and take his sword, the
Thundercutter. The Thunderkittens find Hatchiman and rescue him. The Lunataks
plan to use the Thundercutter with their new samurai robot to fight Lion-O and
the Sword of Omens. The Thundercutter can't tell who's good and who's evil in
the fight but when Hatchiman touches the sword, the Thundercutter destroys the
robot.
RUNAWAYS
Bored and feeling that they are no longer needed, the Thunderkittens run away
from home, but soon run into problems when they become ill from berries they had
picked. A creature known as Cudi saves their lives. When the other ThunderCats
find them, the Thunderkittens invite Cudi to Cats Lair. But Mumm-Ra has been
observing the situation and disguises himself as Cudi to gain entrance to the
Lair. Many disasters occur and the blame is put on the false Cudi, who traps the
ThunderCats in the council chamber. The ThunderCats realize it's Mumm-Ra and
they manage to escape and defeat him.
HAIR OF THE DOG
With only Lion-O and Snarf guarding the Lair, Mumm-Ra decides this is a perfect
opportunity to invade the Lair, so Ma-Mutt captures Snarf and Mumm-Ra switches
Snarf and Ma-Mutt. Ma-Mutt (who now looks like Snarf) goes to Cats Lair and
gives Lion-O some poisoned candy fruit. Lion-O becomes ill and realizes that
this Snarf is really Ma-Mutt and Mumm-Ra arrives and defeats Lion-O. Snarfer's
bad dream of Snarf becoming a dog causes him, Ben-Gali, and Pumyra to go to Cats
Lair, but Mumm-Ra lays a trap for them. He sends Ma-Mutt to get Snarfer and
Lion-O becomes better again and distracts Mumm-Ra. When Lion-O summons the other
ThunderCats, Snarf (who looks like Ma-Mutt now), using Mumm-Ra's chant that
changes Mumm-Ra into the everliving, becomes... Snarf-Ra the everliving and he
rescues Ben-Gali, Pumyra and they in turn rescue Snarfer from Ma-Mutt. Then
Snarf-Ra challenges Mumm-Ra and defeats him. After the battle is over, Lion-O
uses the sword to restore Snarf to his original state.
VULTUREMAN'S REVENGE
Vultureman creates a weapon that shoots pure Thundrainium in hopes of destroying
the ThunderCats. His first victims are the Thunderkittens who fall into a deep
cavern and become injured. Lion-O and Snarf search for the missing kittens.
Meanwhile Vultureman must get more Thundrainium from Chilla in Darkside and is
also ordered by Slithe to fix the Mutants' machines. The Thunderkittens are
saved by a Wollo and they discover that the Wollo village has been "iced" and
they are captured and used as bait to lure Lion-O. When Lion-O and Snarf arrive,
they are shot down by Vultureman's weapon and Lion-O becomes weak and summons
the ThunderCats. Just as Vultureman is about to finish off Lion-O, Ben-Gali
arrives, wrecks Vultureman's weapon and drives the Mutants and Chilla away.
Lion-O then uses the sword to restore the Wollo village.
THUNDERCUBS!: PART I
Mumm-Ra learns about the Treasure of Thundera and the Sword of Plundarr and he
and Ma-Mutt "travel back in time and space" to explore the debris of Thundera,
causing the planet to reform. The ThunderCats find out about this and must make
the journey to New Thundera to stop Mumm-Ra. Lynx-O and the Thunderkittens are
left at the tower while the other ThunderCats at the Lair are preparing the
Feliner for the trip to New Thundera. Vultureman notices that the tower is only
guarded by 3 ThunderCats and goes to Sky Tomb and tells Luna. Luna then sends
Red Eye and Tug Mug to attack the Tower, and they capture Lynx-O and the
Thunderkittens
THUNDERCUBS!: PART II
Lion-O and the other ThunderCats arrive and save Lynx-o and the Thunderkittens
from Red Eye and Tug Mug. The ThunderCats learn more about New Thundera,
especially the dangerous places affected by the moons of Plundarr where the
Lunataks come from. The ThunderCats must develop special equipment and clothing
to counter those dangers. Also, they learn that all the snarfs have been turned
into slaves and Snarf and Snarfer want to rescue them no matter what the cost.
Vultureman learns of the ThunderCats plan, so he abandons the other Mutants and
takes the Rat-Star. But Slithe has snuck aboard. Right after the Feliner takes
off, the Rat-star ambushes them and it seems all over for the ThunderCats aboard
the Feliner. Lion-O uses the sword to free everyone and along with Ben-Gali and
Wilykit on the HoverCat, go after the Ratstar and it crashes on Hook Mt. The
ThunderCats leave Third Earth's atmosphere and Lynx-O tells him that Mumm-Ra has
already loCated the Sword of Plundarr.
THUNDERCUBS!: PART III
Mumm-Ra retrieves the Sword of Plundarr and the ThunderCats arrive on New
Thundera. While the ThunderCats want to get the Sword and treasure, Snarf and
Snarfer want to free their fellow snarfs. While the ThunderCats sleep, Snarf and
Snarfer sneak away, but are discovered and captured by Mumm-Ra. He disguises
himself as Snarfer and he leads the ThunderCats where the treasure is loCated,
but it can only be freed by the Sword of Omens. Once the treasure is freed,
Mumm-Ra reveals himself and defeats the ThunderCats with the Sword of Plundarr.
Now Mumm-Ra possesses the Sword of Plundarr and the Treasure of Thundera.
THUNDERCUBS!: PART IV
Mumm-Ra tries to get away but the Sword of Omens breaks open the casket dropping
the treasure all over the planet, and Snarf, Snarfer, and one other snarf
escape. Mumm-Ra gives a false Book of Omens to Ma-Mutt, Slithe and Vultureman,
who have arrived on New Thundera in the Rat-star, for safe keeping so that he
can decipher the real Book of Omens. The ThunderCats go after them through the
Caverns of Cold. They head toward the Canyons of Youth, but due to the effects
of the canyon, Panthro, Cheetara, Tygra, Snarf, and Snarfer are changed into
Thundercubs. Lion-O must use the sword to give the Thundercubs ThunderCat
understanding. Meanwhile on Third Earth, Jackalman, Monkian, and the Lunataks
attack Cats Lair and capture Ben-Gali and Wilykit. Lion-O learns that the
ThunderCats back on Third Earth are being held prisoner in Sky Tomb, so he
decides to send the Thundercubs to Third Earth to rescue them while he tries to
get the Book of Omens from Mumm-Ra. Snarf decides to stay with Lion-O and the
other Thundercubs prepare the Feliner to leave New Thundera but Mumm-Ra arrives
and attacks the Thundercubs.
THUNDERCUBS!: PART V
Lion-O frees the Thundercubs from Mumm-Ra's spell and the Thundercubs safely
leave New Thundera. Lion-O and Snarf must confront Mumm-Ra and get the Book of
Omens. After they defeat Mumm-Ra, they ask Mu-Mutt (using a magical flute) to
use Mumm-Ra's "device" to get them back to Third Earth. Meanwhile the Lunataks
capture some Berbils and the Thundercubs return to Third Earth and they and the
Thunderkittens must go to Sky Tomb to free the other ThunderCats and the
Berbils. After everyone is freed, they are all cornered by the Lunataks, but
Lion-O and Snarf arrive to save the day. The Thundercubs must then go in the
Cave of Time to become ThunderCats again and Mumm-Ra is abandoned on New
Thundera and the Ancient Spirits bring him back to Third Earth.
THE TOTEM OF DERA
Mumm-Ra finds the Totem of Dera (a part of the T-Cat treasure) which has special
healing powers and can bring inanimate objects to life. He gives it to
Vulture-Man and the Mutants so they can make a device to destroy the T-Cats.
After making the device, the mutants decide to test it near a swamp. At Cat's
Lair, Lion-O sees that there is some mutant activity near the swamp. He,
Wilykit, and Snarfer decide to check it out. When going to the swamp, the
HoverCat is brought down by a swamp monster made by the device. The HoverCat
crashes in the swamp, and Lion-O gets intoxiCated by the deadly swamp water.
Jaga appears and tells Snarfer that he must get the Totem of Dera to heal
Lion-O. Snarfer gets the Totem and succeeds in healing Lion-O. Lion-O calls on
the T-Cats to try to kill the swamp monster. When all their weapons prove
ineffective against the monster, the T-Cats come up with the idea to dissolve
the monster in water and they succeed in defeating it.
THE CHAIN OF LOYALTY
After looking at the Book of Omens, and seeing a picture of a necklace, Lion-O
discovers that there are pictures of the ThunderCats on the necklace. Jaga
appears to Lion-O and tells him that he is looking at a picture of the Chain of
Loyalty. Jaga tells Lion-O that if the chain gets broken, it would cause the
ThunderCats to turn against each other. In hearing this, Lion-O and the
ThunderCats (Panthro, Tygra, Cheetara, and the Thunderkittens) set off to
Thundera to find the chain. Mumm-Ra, eavesdropping on Lion-O through his pool at
the pyramid, goes to Thundera, kidnaps and disguises himself as Snarf. When the
ThunderCats arrive, they split up into groups to find the chain, and Mumm-Ra
goes with Lion-O and the Thunderkittens. Lion-O's group finds the chain and
Mumm-Ra gets it, breaks it, and returns to his true form. For a while, the
ThunderCats, except Lion-O, fight against each other until Lion-O uses the sword
of Omens, which magically puts the necklace back together. Mumm-Ra is defeated
and the ThunderCats return to Third Earth.
CRYSTAL CANYON
Lion-O, Lynx-O, Snarf and Tygra go to the Crystal Canyon, thinking the Lunataks
somehow got the Treasure of Thundera. While there, they encounter Aluro and
Chilla. The two Lunataks trick the ThunderCats by confusing them using with
their reflections. They knock out the Thunderstrike and cause it to crash.
Lynx-O is seriously injured and Lion-O is knocked unconscious. Tygra and Snarf
find the Keystone and when Tygra holds the Keystone, he becomes convinced that
it is making him more powerful. He uses it to restore the Thunderstrike, and
heal Lion-O and Lynx-O. They return to the Lair and the other 3 ThunderCats
learn Tygra has become seriously addicted to the Keystone. When they try to tell
Tygra he's become a slave to the Keystone, he doesn't believe them. Later in a
battle against Aluro, Tygra thinks he's invincible, but Aluro proves him wrong
and takes the Keystone from Tygra. Then Aluro himself becomes addicted to the
Keystone. Aluro captures Lion-O and Lynx-O forcing them to come with him back to
Sky Tomb. Lion-O uses the sword to summon the ThunderCats and Tygra is restored
back to normal and defeats Aluro.
TELEPATHY BEAM
Vultureman creates a device that plays around with Cheetara's sixth sense. She
begins to see images that aren't real, and she soon begins to lose faith in
herself. Meanwhile, the Lunataks enslave Panthro with a mind control device, and
tell him to make the Sky-Tomb able to fly to Thundera. When the ThunderCats are
looking for Panthro, Vultureman makes Cheetara see images of him being captured
by Mumm-Ra, being stuck on Hook Mt., and being held at Castle Plundarr. Lion-O
goes to Mumm-Ra's pyramid, and is ambushed by Luna and Amok, who capture him.
Tygra goes to Plundarr and is captured by Red Eye. The Thunderkittens also get
captured on Hook Mountain. Cheetara is about to go crazy, but Lynx-O tells her
to listen to her heart instead of her mind. She turns into a huge ball of energy
that shoots out and destroys Vultureman's device and frees Panthro and the other
ThunderCats.
EXILE ISLE
The ThunderCats capture the Lunataks and, tired of dealing with their evil ways,
decide to exile the Lunataks to Exile Isle, an island in space far away from
Third Earth. When the Lunataks arrive, they meet up with Captain Cracker, a
pirate who the ThunderCats also exiled. Together, the Lunataks and Capt. Cracker
send out a distress signal to a passing ship. When the ship comes near the
island, the Lunataks send up a cloud of fog, which makes the ship crash. They
use the engines of the ship to push the planet out of orbit and towards Third
Earth. Snarfer, on his way home from Thundera, crashes on the island when it
runs into him. Lion-O goes to rescue Snarfer and stop the island, because it has
a deadly gas that will blow up if it enters Third Earth's atmosphere. He goes
without the Sword of Omens. He gets cornered by Capt. Cracker, but the Sword
awakens and flies to Lion-O, without him even calling it. He then uses dirt to
stop the engines, and the planet/island eventually returns to orbit. The
Lunataks, still stuck there, turn Capt. Cracker's house into a ship and fly back
to Third Earth.
KEY OF THUNDERA
While trying to figure out a way to read the Book of Omens, Lion-O tries looking
through the sword at the book. He is immediately drawn into the book, where a
voice asks him if he has "the key." Lion-O says he doesn't, and four dragon
heads appear and shoot fire at him. Snarf, who saw Lion-O get sucked into the
book, tries to show Cheetara what happened, and he too gets sucked in. Mumm-Ra,
who also watched Lion-O get sucked in, goes to Cats lair and takes the book so
he can destroy it with Lion-O inside. Meanwhile, just by coincidence, Panthro
finds an odd looking key on Thundera. He and Tygra head back to Third Earth with
the key, not knowing what it's for. Back on Third Earth, Mumm-Ra is just about
to boil the book when Lion-O calls for the sword, and it brings him and Snarf
back outside. Mumm-Ra takes the sword and looks through it at the book, and he
gets sucked in! But Lion-O has to save him because of the code of Thundera, and
Lion-O does save him. Panthro and Tygra arrive with the key, and they realize it
is the one the book was asking for.
RETURN OF THE THUNDERCUBS
Panthro, Tygra, and Cheetara return to New Thundera in the Feliner to find more
of the Treasure of Thundera, but Mumm-Ra shoots the Feliner down and, as the Fog
of Despair, sends them to the Canyons of Youth, which changes them back into
Thundercubs. Then Mumm-Ra disguises himself as Lion-O and tells the Thundercubs
to find the treasure for him. Meanwhile, back on Third Earth, Lion-O and Snarf
decide to go rescue the ThunderCats on New Thundera, but they must ask the
Mutants to take them to New Thundera in the Rat-Star. The Mutants agree,
secretly planning to attack Lion-O once they're in space. They do attack and
imprison him and Snarf on the way to Thundera, but they manage to break out.
Cheetara meanwhile, using her sixth sense, loCates part of the treasure, the
Mirror of Truth. The real Lion-O shows up, and uses the Sword of Omens with the
Mirror of Truth to restore the cubs to their proper age, and Mumm-Ra reveals
himself and turns into Mumm-Ra the everliving. Cheetara uses the mirror to
defeat Mumm-Ra. Finally, the ThunderCats use the Rat-Star's supplies to fix the
Feliner, and then go home with the Mutants wedged in the baggage compartment.
THE FORMULA
Aluro invents a "booster" potion in hopes that it can make Sky Tomb able to fly
to Thundera. It doesn't work, and he throws the potion into the forest. Then he
notices everything in the forest has grown huge. He and Luna give the potion to
the Mutants, who sprinkle it around Cats Lair. The Mutants also capture Lynx-O
and Snarf. But while the Mutants are preparing to transfer Lynx-O and Snarf from
their cell, a mouse in the cell who Snarf had befriended gets some of the potion
and attacks the Mutants. That lets Lynx-O and Snarf analyze the potion and come
up with an antidote. Meanwhile, Lion-O, Pumyra, and the Thunderkittens are
fighting off huge bugs in the forest that has grown around Cats Lair. Lynx-O and
Snarf arrive, sprinkle the antidote over the forest, and then watch as
everything turns back to normal.
LOCKET OF LIES
On Thundera, Mumm-Ra creates the Locket of Lies and has Mu-Mutt plant it in the
Valley of the Snarfs. Eggbert and Oswald Snarf find the locket and contact the
ThunderCats about it. When communiCations break up, the ThunderCats (Lion-O,
Cheetara, Panthro, Tygra) go to Thundera to see the Locket. When they arrive,
the Locket leads them to a place in front of an old building. But the ground
they are standing on gives way and they are trapped in a well. Mumm-Ra shows up
and tells them not to try to escape, but the ThunderCats try anyway. The walls
start closing on them, and all their efforts to stop the walls fail. Finally,
Lion-O uses the Eye of Thundera and the Cat Signal to push through the wall, and
they all escape.
BRACELET OF POWER
few more pieces of the Treasure of Thundera. Snarf is fascinated by a bracelet
and takes it to wear around. He sees that everyone obeys his every command when
he has on the bracelet. Mumm-Ra also notices this. He goes to Cats Lair, takes
the bracelet, and turns Lion-O, Cheetara, Tygra, and Panthro into his slaves. He
takes them to his pyramid and locks them in a cell. Snarf and the Thunderkittens
decide to go rescue the ThunderCats. At the pyramid, when Snarf encounters
Mumm-Ra, Snarf acts like the bracelet is controlling him, but he is actually
immune to the bracelet's power. Meanwhile, the Thunderkittens take back the
Sword of Omens, which Mumm-Ra had taken. Mumm-Ra, now trusting Snarf, goes to
sleep in his casket, and Snarf takes the bracelet back. The spell is broken and
the ThunderCats escape from the cell. Mumm-Ra confronts them, but Lion-O uses
the Sword to lock Mumm-Ra in the cell.
THE WILD WORKOUT
Lion-O, Panthro, and Snarf set out to look for more pieces of the Treasure of
Thundera, and Mumm-Ra sets a trap for them using Thunder Catnip. He freezes them
in the caverns of cold on Thundera. Meanwhile, back on third earth, the
Lunataks, in need of another source of power for their ship, use excersise
machines to power it up. They capture Cheetara, and then Tygra and the
Thunderkittens and force them to work out on the machines to power up the ship.
The ThunderCats manage to overwork the power supply, and escape from Sky Tomb.
Back in the caverns, Snarf manages to get the sword of omens to Lion-O with his
tail, and they escape and return to third earth.
THE THUNDERSCOPE
Back visiting their old wreckage site, Lion-O and Snarf find the Thunderscope, a
legendary Thunderian telescope that loCates lost Thunderians, as well as pieces
of the Treasure of Thundera. Mumm-Ra decides to try and steal the Thunderscope
so he can use it to find the Treasure. He ambushes Lion-O, and actualy kills
him. Before Lion-O dies, he manages to take out a lens from the Thunderscope so
Mumm-Ra cannot completely use it. Jaga appears and revives Lion-O's dead body,
as well as the Sword of Omens which had been damaged. Mumm-Ra realizes a lens is
missing, and comes back with Chilla and Tugmug to fight Lion-O for it. Mumm-Ra
gets the lens and goes back to his pyramid, but Lynx-O sends out an energy beam
that blocks the Thunderscope from working. This lets Lion-O get to the pyramid
in time to fight Mumm-Ra again. This time Lion-O gets the Thunderscope by
defeating Mumm-Ra with a blast from the eye of the ThunderCat signal.
THE JADE DRAGON
Mumm-Ra discovers the power of one of the pieces of the treasure of Thundera.
The Double-Headed Dragon of Doom, or the Jade Dragon possess the power to entrap
people in its stomach. The legend says that Hachiman's ancestor gave the dragon
to his wife as a marriage gift, and since her father was so against their
marriage, he put a curse on the dragon and it engulfed Hachiman's ancestor. Jaga
freed him though, and he gave the dragon to Jaga for safe keeping. Now, the
ThunderCats have found the Jade Dragon, and Mumm-Ra manages to trap Lion-O and
Cheetara in it. Hachiman is their only hope. He battles Mumm-Ra in Mumm-Ra's
Pyramid, and the statues of the ancient spirits of evil come alive to fight
Hachiman. He destroys the statues, thus making Mumm-Ra weak, and enabling
Hachiman to free Lion-O and Cheetara from the Dragon with a swipe of his sword.
THE CIRCUS TRAIN
A bounty hunter known as Captain Bragg comes to Third Earth to help the
ThunderCats get rid of the Mutants and the Lunatacks. Capt Bragg tricks Wilykat
in going with him and they first go after the Mutants. After capturing them,
they go to capture the Lunataks. They capture all except Luna and Amuk, who free
the other Lunataks, put Bragg in a cage and tie Wilykat to the train's engine.
Lion-O and Wilykit arrive to save Wilykat and the Lunataks are defeated. All the
Mutants and all the Lunataks are captured and exiled.
THE LAST DAY
With the Mutants and Lunataks gone, the Ancient Spirits of Evil give Mumm-Ra
until sunset to destroy all the ThunderCats, and to prove they're not bluffing,
they exile Ma-Mutt. Mumm-Ra spreads destruction all over Third Earth, sends
Tygra, Cheetara, and Panthro to limbo, and buries Lion-O alive. Then he attacks
and destroys the Tower of Omens, and the Thunderkittens barely escape, but
Mumm-Ra sends them to limbo too. Snarf must go into the Book of Omens to find
out how to defeat Mumm-Ra. Jaga and the ThunderCats in limbo go into the Eye of
Thundera to help Lion-O free himself from his rocky prison. Lion-O then battles
Mumm-Ra at Cats Lair and finds out from Snarf that Mumm-Ra only has until sunset
to defeat the ThunderCats. Mumm-Ra fails and the Ancient Spirits of Evil banish
and exile Mumm-Ra from Third Earth. With all their enemies gone, the ThunderCats
decide to permanently return to New Thundera.
RETURN TO THUNDERA!: PART I
The Ancient Spirits of Evil give new life to Mumm-Ra and Ma-Mutt, send them to
New Thundera, and build a new Pyramid for Mumm-Ra. The ThunderCats say goodbye
to Third Earth and depart for Thundera, leaving Tygra and Pumyra behind to watch
Cat's Lair and the Tower of Omens. The ThunderCats soon arrive and begin plans
to build a new lair. Mumm-Ra meanwhile learns that the planet's gravity is
controled by the Gyroscope under the Churning Rocks at the center of the planet.
The Gyroscope is guarded by Jaguara, an ancient ThunderCat sorceress. Mumm-Ra
disguises himself as Jaga and puts Jaguara under a spell, making her change the
rotation of the Gyroscope to throw the ThunderCats clear off the planet. As the
ThunderCats are floating away, Lion-O calls on the Eye of Thundera to help him,
and it breaks Mumm-Ra's spell... but not before Mumm-Ra takes part of the
Gyroscope's regulator. Without those controls, the planet will be destroyed
within 2 hours...
RETURN TO THUNDERA!: PART II
More and more earthquakes are ocurring because of the malfunctioning Gyroscope.
Meanwhile Lion-O recieves a distress signal from Thunderian refugees, and he,
Cheetara, and Snarf go to find them. Mumm-Ra resurrects Grune the Destroyer, and
Grune seeks out Lion-O and Cheetara. Grune finds and fights them, breaks the
Sword of Omens, and then he chains them up on the Churning Rocks. Snarf, who was
hiding, gathers the pieces of the Sword to take back to Bengali to be fixed.
Snarf gets captured by Char, a theif who wants the Sword for himself. Snarf
tricks him into reforging the Sword, and when it is as good as new, Lion-O
begins to sense it, and so he calls it. The Sword goes to him, he escapes, and
then he defeats Grune. But Mumm-Ra still has the Gyroscope's regulator.
RETURN TO THUNDERA!: PART III
Lion-O, Panthro, and the Thunderkittens take the Whisker, a new flying vehicle,
to the Churning Rocks to rescue the Thunderian refugees who had called from
there. The ThunderCats get captured by Two-Time, a robot with 2 heads. Two-Time
takes them aboard his spaceship, Dome-Down, and the ThunderCats see that he has
also captured the refugees. Lion-O defeats Two-Time and the refugees are freed.
Meanwhile, Lynx-O, Cheetara, and Bengali spot Mumm-Ra near the Churning Rocks,
and inform Lion-O of this. Lion-O, Panthro, and the Thundekittens head to the
Churning Rocks and confront Mumm-Ra, who is in the form of Jaga again. They
break Mumm-Ra's spell (again) over Jaguara, who had temporarily repaired the
Gyroscope. Lion-O defeats Mumm-Ra, but Mumm-Ra reminds them all that eventually
the planet will be destroyed without the real controls, which he still has.
RETURN TO THUNDERA!: PART IV
Mumm-Ra sends Ma-Mutt disguised as Mandora to free the Mutants from Capt.
Bragg's circus train and sends Bragg and Crowman falling into deep space. The
Mutants are then ordered by Mumm-Ra to get rid of Tygra and Pumyra. The Mutants
attack Snowman on Hook Mt. and Snowmeyow gets Pumyra for help and Tygra contacts
the real Mandora to save Bragg and Crowman. Then together, they recapture the
Mutants. Meanwhile on New Thundera, the earthquake tremors grow worse and the
new Cats Lair collapses trapping Snarf in the ruins. Lion-O uses the sword to
contact the other ThunderCats and they rush to the Lair to save Snarf.
Afterwards, Mumm-Ra destroys the Gyroscope's regulator.
RETURN TO THUNDERA!: PART V
After another earthquake caused by Mumm-Ra ruins the new Cats Lair construction
site, the ThunderCats go to see Jaguara and confront Mumm-Ra. Unfortunately,
Mumm-Ra puts up a force field over entrance. Jaga appears to Lion-O and tells
him to use the Eye of Thundera to get to Jaguara and the Gyroscope. Lion-O does
so and battles Mumm-Ra, who throws him into the bottomless pit underneath the
Gyroscope. Lion-O however, manages to throw his grappling hook to the top, which
pulls him back up. Lion-O then shines the signal, which goes through the force
field. All the ThunderCats leap through the signal which takes them through the
force field. Together, they fire all their weapons at Mumm-Ra and he is
defeated. But before he leaves, he breaks the cord that holds the Gyroscope
above the pit and it falls through. Now, New Thundera is literally falling
apart. But Lion-O throws the sword in the spot where the Gyroscope used to be
and calls upon the ThunderCat Ancestors for help. The sword starts spinning and
creates a new Gyroscope, thus the planet is saved.
LEAH
The Ancient Spirits of Evil bring the Mirror Rape to Mumm-Ra, and he
disguises it as a child's toy. Mumm-Ra then intercepts a thunderian escape
pod which carries in it a little girl. He gives the toy to the child (Leah),
and leaves. She is rescued by the ThunderCats, and goes into New Cat's Lair
with the doll. The doll turns into the Mirror Rape when left alone, and
begins to destroy Cat's Lair, and the ThunderCats have no clue where the
evil Mirror Rape came from.
FROGMAN
Wily Kit and Kat are constructing a well for the New Cat's Lair on New Thundera.
The ThunderCats on New Thundera receive a distress signal from Thunderian
refugees trying to find their way to New Thundera. The Kittens are left alone
with Snarf on at the New Cat's Lair, and Lion-O and Snarfer are out constructing
an early warning device (I guess for weather purposes). The rest of the
ThunderCats seek out the refugees in space. When Wily Kit and Kat strike water,
they accidentally unleash a monster that Jaga trapped in the underground lake
centuries ago. Frogman, with aquatic powers, tries to sink the New Cats Lair.
Lion-O however re-traps Frogman in his watery prison.
THE HERITAGE
Wily Kit and Kat, exploring New Thundera, stumble upon an Orb of Gold, and pick
it up thinking that it is apart of their Heritage. Possessed by the power of the
Golden Sphere of City, the ThunderKittens get greedy, and let the power of the
orb overcome them. Mumm-Ra manages to get a hold of the orb, and his powers get
four times more powerful. He gets so powerful, he destroys the Sword of Omens.
Jar, the scrap metal collector reforges it for Lion-O. He gets so powerful that
he challenges the power of the ancient spirits of evil. They lock him out of his
pyramid until he surrenders the Orb to them. The spirits of evil let him back
in, but destroy the Golden Sphere of City.
SCREW LOOSE
The ThunderCats call on a robot named Screw Loose to help the weary Jaguara with
running the Gyroscope. Mumm-Ra replaces Screw Losse's brain system with a bad
system, and Screw Loose goes crazy and tries to destroy the Gyroscope. Lion-O
uses the Sword to fix Screw Loose and then Screw Loose actually helps to defeat
Mumm-Ra. Now Jaguara has someone to help her permanently run the Gyroscope.
MALCAR
Mumm-Ra summons Malcar, an ancient alchemist, to return from the dead. The
alchemist returns old and weak, as he was when he died. Mumm-Ra takes him to the
canyons of youth to restore his youth and power. Malcar regains his powers, and
uses them against the ThunderCats. He transforms all the Thunderillium on the
planet into Thundrainium.
HELPLESS LAUGHTER
A convergence of the Moons of Plun-Darr causes a drought on Thundera. Panthro
and Snarf go looking for water, then Ezuka, the flying Serpent of Dreary Canal
wanting to get water itself, attacks Panthro and Snarf and causes them to fall
into the Swamp of the Laughing Lilypads, making them laugh out of control. Ezuka
attacks the Lair, still looking for water. Lion-O uses the Sword to make some
rain, then he and Ben-Gali use the Thunderstrike to melt some ice, but Mumm-Ra
comes along and causes a flood. Lion-O calls for the others, which also free
Panthro and Snarf from the laughter and they use some of the Swamps water to
cause Mumm-Ra to laugh uncontrolably, and he falls in the flood waters and is
washed away.
CRACKER'S REVENGE
Capt. Cracker and his mechanical parrot Polly land on Way-Out Back and free the
Lunatacs and put Bragg and Crownan in one of the train's cages. They plan to go
to Third Earth to attack it since most of the ThunderCats are no longer on Third
Earth. Meanwhile the ThunderCats have learned Cracker escaped and Snarfer and
Mandora go to Catch him. Bragg has Crownan ride a fire exstiquisher, so he can
get into space and get help. Mandora finds him, and the three of them go to
Third Earth. Mandora fights with Cracker and the Lunatacs, but is beaten and she
and Snarfer are tied to her cycle and sent towards a mountain. Lion-O, Panthro,
and Cheetara arrive and Lion-O saves Mandora and the others. Meanwhile Cracker
and the Lunatacs go to attack Cats Lair, only occupied by Pumyra, but Lion-O
uses the Eye's signal to cause the drawbridge to tilt, sending Cracker and the
Lunatacs into the moat. The Lunatacs are exiled again.
THE MOSSLAND MONSTER
Tygra, on a solo trip to New Thundera to meet the other ThunderCats, decides to
take a shortcut through a meteor shower. His ship is damaged, and he lands on an
unexplored region of New Thundera. The MosLand. It turns out that the moss in
mosland is part of a giant monster who captures Tygra with its moss. Lion-O,
Bengali, Snarf, and Snarfer set out to save Tygra and battle the Moss Monster.
MA-MUTT'S CONFUSION
Mumm-Ra has a new device, the Babylonian Barbarian Boiler, that he plans to use
on Cats Lair. Ma-Mutt fools around too much and Mumm-Ra banishes him from the
Pyramid. Later, the Thunderkittens, Snarf, and Snarfer bring Ma-Mutt back to
Cats Lair and then Mumm-Ra fires the Boiler's beam at the Lair, which causes it
to start melting. Snarfer makes a communiCating device (because Ma-Mutt was
trying to tell them about the beam), so they can understand Ma-Mutt. Ma-Mutt
starts telling them of the Boiler, but Mumm-Ra sees this and through the
Cauldron's magic brings Ma-Mutt back to the Pyramid. Then the ThunderCats
construct a giant Light-Shield and use it to protect the Lair, but Mumm-Ra just
boosts the power on the Boiler, destroying the Shield. Lion-O uses the Cat
Signal to push back the beam, which causes the Boiler to explode, and the Signal
restores Cats Lair. Mumm-Ra, who was lonely without Ma-Mutt, welcomes his dog
back to the pyramid.
THE SHADOWMASTER
From the Shadow Realm, the Shadowmaster contacts the Ancient Spirits of Evil
(ASOE), telling them of how he captured Lion-O's father, Claudus, just before
Thundera blew up. Then the Shadowmaster, through a bad dream, shows Lion-O his
captured father and challenges Lion-O to a fight. Lion-O goes to the Shadow
Realm through the Book and Sword of Omens, and is able to fight the Shadowmaster
as long as the Sword stays bonded to the book. However, the Shadowmaster sends a
huge bat to steal the Sword. It succeeds, and then Lion-O becomes very weak in
the Shadow Realm. Mumm-Ra meanwhile, feeling like the ASOE will turn against him
in favor of the Shadowmaster, sends Ma-Mutt to secretly steal the sword from the
bat and put it back near the book. This renews Lion-O's strength, who calls for
the Sword, rescues Claudus, and exiles the Shadowmaster. Claudus leaves Lion-O,
but at the end you see him and Jaga standing next to each other in that blue,
ghostly form. Now Lion-O has 2 mentors to give him advice!
SWAN SONG
An Ecology Inspector (EI) comes to Thundera to inspect the new Cats Lair. His
ship uses the SWAN system (Space Way Airborn Navigations) to direct him to
planets all over the universe. When he arrives on Thundera, he gets ambushed by
Two-Time (see Return to Thundera, Part III, this page). Two-Time uses a
hologram to make the EI's ship crash into a mountain, and then when the
ThunderCats come to rescue the EI in the Feliner, Two-Time uses the hologram
again. Lion-O manages to fly around the mountain and lands the Feliner.
Meanwhile, Two-Time flies to new Cats Lair in his spaceship, Dome-Down. He
actually picks up the whole Lair and keeps it inside Dome-Down. The ThunderCats
fix the Feliner, rescue the EI, and then fly to Catch Dome-Down. Once they Catch
the spaceship, Lion-O uses the sword to defeat Two-Time and send him flying out
of the ship. Then they return Cats Lair to its proper place.
THE TOUCH OF AMORTUS
Mumm-Ra orders Amortus, a being he banished to the Land of No Return centuries
ago, to destroy Lynx-O. Amortus makes Lynx-O crash in the Thunderstrike, and
then he touches Lynx-O's face. The spell from the touch makes Lynx-O feel like
he is an outcast, so he leaves to join Amortus in the Land of No Return. The
other TCats, Lion-O, Panthro, and Cheetara, go after him. In the Land of No
Return, Amortus again touches Lynx-O, this time causing him to turn to stone.
The other TCats arrive and try to beat Amortus, but he touches all of them,
causing them to start turning to stone. But just as Lion-O is about to turn
entirely to stone, he calls the Sword and it breaks them free. It also releases
other warriors trapped by Amortus, and they all come and defeat him. Lynx-O is
rescued just in time- just before the stone is permanent- and they all go home.
THE ZAXX FACTOR
Vultureman escapes from exile by hijacking a bookmobile. He finds a disk
containing ancient history about two powerful evil forces on Third Earth:
Mumm-Ra and his enemy Zaxx. Zaxx used a Rosencrest medallion, but Zaxx was
defeated when Mumm-Ra stole the medalion trapping Zaxx in it. Vultureman plots
to get the medalion, defeat Mumm-Ra, and rule the universe. So Zaxx uses
Vultureman to find and defeat Mumm-Ra. But there's a terrible "side effect" to
the medalion, anyone who wears it loses his own life and BECOMES Zaxx. When
Vultureman learns of this, he changes his mind. The ThunderCats get caught in
this situation when Vultureman attacks Panthro and Snarf and after they crash,
Snarf dissappears. Zaxx then uses Snarf to attack Mumm-Ra and Zaxx takes over
Snarf's body. The other ThunderCats arrive and save Snarf. Mumm-Ra defeats Zaxx
once more by takin the medalion, but the pyramid also collapses on Mumm-Ra.
WELL OF DOUBT
The ThunderCats use a new Tower signal to guide a Thunderian ship in; aboard are
Baron Tass and Mr. Grubber, a devious pair of Thunderians. Later Lion-O sends
Torr, Baron Tass and Mr. Grubber to get water, but on the way the Baron stops at
the Well of Doubt and gets some of its water. The water causes a person to
become very doubtful of his own abilities. When they get back to the
ThunderCats, Baron Tass gives some of the water to Lion-O. On the way to
inspecting the new Tower in the Whisker, Lion-O feels the effects of the water
and causes the Whisker to crash. Tass comes back (from getting his Guardsman,
giant stone-men), and has them attack the ThunderCats. Jagara has the others
hold the Sword, and when Lion-O grabs hold of the sword, he's free of the
water's effect. Then he fights off the Guardsman, and makes a storm, which
causes the Guardsman to fall apart, and Tass promises to change his ways.
THE BOOK OF OMENS
New Thundera is being torn apart and the ThunderCats must present certain
artifacts at various dangerous loCations that used to be beautiful places, then
Lion-O must go into the book and give the Key of Thundera to the guardian of the
book "at the 24th hour," or the ThunderCats will be frozen in time and New
Thundera will be destroyed. But Mumm-Ra steals the book and key and journeys
into the book himself. He wants to save New Thundera BUT wants the ThunderCats
frozen in time. But the Ancient Spirits of Evil try to stop Mumm-Ra because they
fear if Mumm-Ra went into the book, their powers will cease to exist. The other
ThunderCats run into problems also at the various loCations they are supposed to
be at. Lion-O goes into the book using the Sword of Omens and battles Mumm-Ra
one on one, but even when Mumm-Ra cheats, Lion-O still wins... just in time.
