Sometime after 1996, likely decades later, the city of New Camelot is founded in Antarctica. The gargoyles living there form the Camelot Clan, the eleventh clan of the Gargoyle Nation. Like New Camelot’s human population, the clan is composed of gargoyles from around the world, living within advanced artificial environments maintained by the Master Matrix.

In 2198, the Space-Spawn attacked New Camelot. The Camelot Clan is hit especially hard: their leader and rookery are taken prisoner, and the Master Matrix is stolen. With the artificial systems failing, the inhabitants of New Camelot are left exposed to Antarctica’s extreme cold and harsh day-night cycles. How the Camelot Clan ultimately adapts to these conditions remains unknown.
