Sometime between 1997 and 2188, a new Wyvern Clan will be founded at Wyvern, reclaiming the site of one of the oldest known gargoyle clans. While gargoyles from many regions may join, members of the Manhattan, Labyrinth, and Avalon Clans are expected to form its core, as all trace their lineage to the ancient Wyvern Clan.

The new Wyvern Clan will embrace a “back-to-basics” philosophy, rejecting most technology in favor of traditional gargoyle ways. Rather than restoring Castle Wyvern, they will construct a new dwelling and resume guardianship of the lands surrounding Wyvern Hill, mirroring the role of their predecessors.

The Wyvern Clan will become the twelfth member of the Gargoyle Nation, founded after the Camelot Clan and before the Liberty Clan. Like the other clans, its leader and rookery will be kidnapped during the Space-Spawn attack on Queen Florence Island in 2198.
