The Northumbria Clan lived for generations near Bamburgh Castle, roosting among megaliths atop a nearby hill, with their rookery hidden in caverns below. According to the Earl of Northumbria, Robert de Mowbray, the clan largely kept to themselves, practiced simple agriculture, and showed little fear of humans.

In 1093, Demona encountered the clan after leaving Scotland. Though glad to find other gargoyles, she scorned their complacency, derisively calling them “sheep,” and warned them to hide separately during stone sleep. Their leader ignored her advice.

The following day, Malcolm Canmore and his sons, already terrorizing the region, attacked the hill, exterminating the clan and destroying the rookery. Only one young gargoyle survived: later known as Angelika, she had followed Demona’s warning and concealed herself in a small cave.

Demona exacted vengeance on Canmore for the clan’s destruction but refused to participate in a Wind Ceremony. Instead, she fled the region with Angelika, leaving the Northumbria Clan extinct.
