One of the oldest clans still in existence, the Xanadu Clan has remained hidden for centuries in the northern mountains of China. Little is known of the clan beyond its unique and vital mission: the protection of the gargoyle beast species.

The Xanadu Clan specializes in breeding gargoyle beasts as companions and guardians, a practice that may have prevented the species from falling into extinction. Gargoyle beasts are rare among most clans, and it is believed the Xanadu Clan also preserved multiple regional “breeds,” possibly rescuing lineages from well beyond China itself.

The Xanadu Clan is among the founding members of the Gargoyle Nation. In 2198, the clan’s leader and rookery are kidnapped during the Space-Spawn attack on Queen Florence Island.
