Robyn Canmore was born on June 19, 1966. In 1980, at the age of fourteen, she traveled to Paris with her brothers and her father, Charles Canmore. On the night of September 28, she witnessed her father’s fatal battle with Demona inside Notre Dame Cathedral. Robyn pursued Demona into the Catacombs with her brothers and was attacked, but Jason rescued her and Demona escaped. In the aftermath, Robyn and her brothers became Hunters, vowing to destroy Demona and any surviving gargoyles.
A surge of gargoyle sightings brought the Canmores to New York City in 1996. Suspicious of Nightstone Unlimited, Robyn infiltrated the company under the alias Robyn Correy as personal assistant to Dominique Destine. She soon uncovered Dominique’s true identity as Demona and learned of her plan for global gargoyle genocide, Operation Clean Slate.
Robyn actively participated in the conflict between the Hunters and Goliath’s clan and personally destroyed the Clock Tower. After the battle at the dam, where Jason was believed dead, she began to question the Hunters’ war, disturbed by its effect on Jon. She accompanied him to Saint Damien’s Cathedral for the final confrontation but stopped fighting when Jason and Elisa Maza arrived. Her beliefs were further shaken when she saw Goliath destroy the Praying Gargoyle, risking his life and his race to save humanity. Robyn was briefly taken into police custody for destroying the Clock Tower.
She was soon released by the Director, who recruited her as leader of the Redemption Squad under the codename Hunter. She traveled first to Australia, witnessing Dingo and Matrix defeat the Tasmanian Tiger in Sydney, then recruited them at Uluru. She next led the group to Tokyo, where they captured Yama and offered him a chance at redemption, before returning to Paris for training. While there, Robyn revisited Notre Dame Cathedral and confronted her past.
On New Year’s Eve 1996, Hunter and the Squad returned to Manhattan to track down Dr. Sevarius. Robyn visited Jason at Rikers Island, where they recognized Jon as John Castaway, leader of the Quarrymen. Robyn attempted to reason with him but failed. While searching the sewers, she was attacked by Fang and later captured with Yama. Sevarius planned to mutate her using Angela’s DNA, but she was rescued by Dingo and Matrix. Robyn then led the Squad to Times Square, stopping Fang from releasing the CV-1997 Carrier Virus. Although many lives were saved, she was shaken by the death of Tasha and angered when Fang was assigned to the Squad.
Days later, Hunter led the team to Eastcheap Isle, where they battled giant robots and encountered Falstaff and his thieves. With help from her great-aunt Fiona Canmore, Falstaff attempted to recruit the Squad into the Illuminati. When Yama and Fang warned that the Illuminati could not be trusted, the Squad refused and clashed with Falstaff’s gang. Eastcheap was revealed to be a ship and submerged, but the Squad escaped thanks to the Matrix. As they drifted away, Robyn and Dingo were seen smiling at one another.
In the future, Robyn will continue leading the Redemption Squad on dangerous missions. She will develop a turbulent romantic relationship with Dingo, and they will eventually marry. By the year 2198, their descendants, the Monmouths, will still exist and remain enemies of the Castaways, descended from John Castaway.
