Evan Treborn suffers from recurring blackouts during pivotal and often traumatic moments of his childhood, leaving disturbing gaps in his memory. As an adult, he discovers that by reading the journals he kept as a child, he can vividly relive these forgotten events and, unexpectedly, travel back to them to change his actions.
