Superman can adapt to most environments.

He can survive and adapt to any natural environment, being able to tolerate wide range of temperatures and levels of moisture, any amount/quality of sustenance, breathable medium, etc. with little or no discomfort. This includes underwater environments as well as the vacuum of space.

He can even extent this ability to others, as long as they maintain physical contact with him.
