In a freak accident, police crime scene investigator Barry Allen is struck by lightning and doused with chemicals. He discovers that he has gained the ability to move at Super Speed. With the help of STAR Labs scientist Tina McGee, he learns to control his powers and becomes a superhero called, The Flash.
