• Each ring was activated when the user spoke the ring's name
• Powers could be combined to summon Captain Planet
• Will not activate if it came in contact with pollution or if the user's mind is polluted

• Could manipulate the ground creating earthquakes of varying magnitude
• Could create or repair holes in the ground
• Could create earth pillars & small islands from the ocean

• Used by Wheeler
• Able to instantly ignite, heat or melt targeted surfaces & objects
• Can shoot laser-like fire beams
• Could conjure streams of flames similar to a flamethrower
• Also able to be used as a light in dark areas

• Used by Linka
• It can create small whirlwinds & gusts of wind
• Also able to manipulate wind/air

• Used by Gi
• It can manipulate water from any natural or man-made source
• Limited to manipulating water, it can not create it

• Used by Ma-Ti
• Gave him the abilities of telepathy & empathy to a limited degree
