During the 23rd century, Anti-grav Units would be attached to whatever required moving. Once activated, they rendered the object practically weightless making it possible to be moved.

By the 24th century, anti-grav sleds were created to move larger cargo. Stretchers that utilized anti-grav technology were called Anti-grav lifts. They were used to carry wounded people to sickbay.
