Battle of the Bastards

Date: 303 AC

Jon Snow led a northern host against Ramsay Bolton, who held the castle and Rickon Stark. Ramsay began the battle by murdering Rickon, drawing Jon into a reckless charge that shattered his formation and played directly into Bolton tactics.

Ramsay’s army slowly crushed Jon’s forces, hemming them in with shields and arrows until defeat seemed certain. At the last moment, Sansa Stark’s alliance with the Vale was revealed as their cavalry arrived, smashing the Bolton lines and turning the tide.

Winterfell was retaken, Ramsay was captured and executed, and the North rallied behind Jon. The battle marked the fall of House Bolton and the return of Stark power, won through endurance, loyalty, and timely allies rather than honor alone.
