Buffy Anne Summers was born to Hank and Joyce Summers on January 19, 1981. At the age of fifteen, Buffy was activated as the Slayer. Buffy and her mom moved to Sunnydale when her parents got divorced were she met her watcher, Rupert Giles as well as became friends with Willow Rosenberg and Xander Harris. Buffy was killed by the Master but resuscitated by Xander. Also while in Sunnydale, Buffy met and fell in love with Angel, a vampire with a soul.

After they consummated their relationship, Angel, he lost his soul and reverted to the evil Angelus, the most notoriously evil vampire in recorded history. Buffy spent months being terrorized by him and was forced to kill him, moments after he had regained his soul, to save the world. Angel returned a few months later but left to give Buffy a normal life. Buffy then dated Riley Finn, an Initiative solder for over a year until he too left her. Buffy sacrificed her life to save her sister Dawn and the world from the Goddess Glorificus.

She was soon resurrected by Willow. It took Buffy a year to adjust to having been ripped out of Heaven when Willow brought her back to life. During this time she slept with the vampire Spike who she loathes. After Spike got a soul, Buffy formed a friendship with him. Buffy lead her friends and an army of potential Slayers against the First Evil. Although she won, Sunnydale was destroyed.
