The Krypton Globe was a device that resembled the planet Krypton.

It contained a holographic recording from Jor-El and Lara, detailing to their son his origins and heritage. It was also the navigation computer and controlled the hyper light drive of the ship that sent Kal-El to Earth after Krypton exploded.

It would transform to look like Earth as it guided the ship and once it had transmitted its message to Kal-El.
