Laser Rapiers were a weapon used by Sea Hawk and many of his men.

They consisted of a plasma blade that was emitted from a metal hilt and could be shut off at will. It could cut through many things from flesh to doors. The blade could be disrupted by an energy blast. When not in use, the hilt would be put in a sheath, attached to the owner’s belt.
