Squidish Rex was the ruler of the Crystal Sea of Eternia. He can control aquatic life forms and the sea waters, creating tidal waves and destruction.

He was forced to serve Skeletor after his kingdom was destroyed in a battle with rival ocean clans, taking the name Mer-Man. He carries a sword made of Eternian shark teeth, capable of ripping through steel.
