Eldin, a human scholar of the Morphin Masters’ relics, fell in love with Lady Fienna. Unbeknownst to her, Eldin was corrupted by Dark Specter, transformed into the warlord Master Vile. When Fienna discovered the truth, she fled to Zordon, giving birth to her daughter Rita Repulsa. Vile eventually found them, reclaiming the child and mortally wounding Fienna. Rita was raised in cruelty alongside her brother Rito Revolto, taught sorcery and the ways of evil. At the same time, Zordon’s mentor, Zophram, was corrupted by the Zeo Crystal’s power and became Lord Zedd, rising as Emperor of Evil. Rita later abandoned Master Vile and entered Zedd’s service, commanding his forces and establishing a Moon Palace from which she launched repeated invasions of Earth. These efforts were consistently thwarted by Zordon and the Power Rangers. Before his capture, Zordon sealed Rita and her lieutenants inside a space dumpster, condemning her to relive the suffering of her victims for millennia. When she was freed ten thousand years later, Zordon countered by empowering five humans as Power Rangers. Rita briefly gained the Green Power Coin and corrupted Tommy Oliver, but he was freed and later became the White Ranger after Zedd seized control of Rita’s forces. Rita and Zedd eventually married and continued their war against Earth, aided again by Master Vile. Their actions destroyed the Rangers’ original powers, forcing the creation of Ninja and later Zeo Ranger abilities. When the United Alliance of Evil launched its final campaign, Zordon ended the conflict by sacrificing himself. His released energy purged evil across the universe, destroying Vile and Goldar and transforming Rita and Zedd into powerless humans. Thus ended a war ten thousand years in the making, not through conquest, but redemption imposed by light.
