The War was a war fought between the Talaxians and Haakonian Order. The war reached its horrific conclusion when the Haakonians deployed a devastating weapon known as the metreon cascade on the Talaxian moon Rinax. More than a quarter of a million Talaxians were vaporized, and the following day Talax surrendered unconditionally to the Order. In the aftermath, the Haakonian Order collapsed under political pressure and international condemnation. Its leaders became fugitives, hunted for war crimes, while survivors of Talaxian space scattered across the quadrant.
