The Tyrannosaurus Dinozord was piloted by the Red Ranger.

The Tyrannosaurus was the mightiest of all Dinozords, sometimes acting alone in combat, when it could use its tail and jaws as weapons. The Zord possessed two large energy cannons within its mouth. When required, the Zord could be charged with energy from lightning strikes which would be channeled through the cannons and into the ground. The resulting blast would rupture the ground and cause monsters to be disintegrated. It could also stand on his tail and kick his opponent. The Tyrannosaurus remained underground while not in use. It formed the head and torso of Magazord.

After Lord Zedd stripped the Zords of their power and sank them into lava under the Earth, Zordon and Alpha were able to use its remains to create the Red Dragon Thunderzord.
