1980s: Sold his company, donated much of his fortune to charity & became a recluse
1989: Intercepted a transmission sent from Krypton before its explosion;
Founded Veritas, a secret society created to help the recipient of the message, the "Traveler”
Eventually was able to translate the Kryptonian message, but told only Bridgette
Founded S.T.A.R. Labs to help the Traveler explore his powers
2003: Figured out Clark Kent was the Traveler after seeing an article about him;
Revealed the contents of the message & Krypton’s fate to Clark
2004: Died of natural causes
